Food Pantry (Food Distribution)
Providing Foods To Support Activities Of Yachiyo City Children's Cafeteria (August 2024)
The use of children's cafeterias is increasing nationwide, and demand is also growing in Yachiyo City. As part of our activities to support the healthy growth of children, we cooperated with the Yachiyo City Social Welfare Council, a social welfare corporation in charge of three children's cafeterias in the city, and provided food such as hamburger steak, curry, and rice to them during the summer holidays when school lunches were not available.
As prices continue to rise, the number of children suffering from economic difficulties is increasing. Under these circumstances, society has raised expectations for support for children's cafeterias. As a local company, we will support the Yachiyo City Social Welfare Council, which promotes community welfare, and continue to actively support local children so that they can have a bright future with smiles.

Providing Sustainable Food
Education And Awareness Activities Toward SDGs Related To Food (July 2024)
As part of our environmental activities aimed at achieving SDGs, we provided a sustainable food menu at an event held at our Yachiyo Plant. It includes hamburgers and spaghetti using soybean meat and processed wild game meat using wild boar meat.
By substituting soybean meat for beef, it not only reduces greenhouse gases such as CO2 and methane emitted during the cattle breeding process by approximately 90%, but also significantly reduces land development for the livestock industry. In addition, there are various environmental problems such as crop damage caused by wild animals, which have caused serious damage to agriculture and forestry in recent years, and the incineration of captured animals. As an effort to avoid wasting lives, eating highly nutritious wild game meat also contributes to environmental conservation. We will continue to raise employee awareness of the SDGs through environmental education and awareness activities.
Yachiyo Sin-River 1000 Cherry Blossom Festival 2024
Event Cooperation and Exhibition (March 2024)
From March 2 to March 10, the Yachiyo Shin-River 1000 Cherry Blossom Festival 2024 was held, and more than 40,000 visitors attended. We provided our EV commuter bus charged with electricity generated by our own photovoltaic panels as a source of eco-lighting power for the cherry blossom, and the utilization of natural energy and the view of the beautifully illuminated cherry blossom trees were also featured on tv asahi. At our company booth, we exhibited our EV bus, held a photo session on a driver seat, set up a recycling quiz panel including our environment equipment and machinery, distributed bamboo recycling products and refurbished PET reusable bag with our company logo to introduce our SDGs efforts to many people. We will continue to actively work on the SDGs with the community.
Installation and Operation of Photovoltaic Panels (February 2024)
We installed photovoltaic panels on the roof of welfare building in Yachiyo Works and started generating electricity. This will not only cover a portion of the electricity used in the general office and the welfare building, but also enable our EV commuter bus, which have been in operation since April 2023, to run on 100% renewable energy.
LaVortex Pharmaceutical Continuous Manufacturing System
LaVortex Pharmaceutical Continuous Manufacturing System(Continuous Manufacturing)Certified as Kawasaki Ecological Frontiers 2023 (August 2023)
One of our products, LaVortex has been certified and registered as Kawasaki Ecological Frontiers in 2023. This is a system in which Kawasaki examines its own products that are particularly outstanding in terms of environmental friendliness in accordance with ISO14021 and announce them externally. This program was launched in 2014 and is expanded to all Kawasaki Heavy Industries Group companies in 2023.
LaVoltex have been evaluated highly in terms of both improving the environmental performance of the product itself and reducing the environmental burden of the manufacturing process. As for environmental performance, by adopting a continuous granulation drying method, energy consumption intensity has been reduced by 74.6%. compared to conventional batch-type fluidized bed granulator/dryer. As for manufacturing process, by downsizing the weight, footprints and volume of the equipment, it has reduced CO2 emissions and energy consumption as well as waste, chemical substances and transportation fuel costs during delivery. We will continue to address environmental issues throughout the product life cycle and supply chain by developing new technologies and products.
